STOKE City will run into a wall of noise from a full house of Middlesbrough fans when they kick off their season on Saturday week.
Boro fans are heading for a sell-out for their first Premier League fixture since 2009.
Tickets went on general sale to home fans this morning and the club reports they have already sold 24,400 seats for the big game.
Stoke, meanwhile, have sold around 1,000 of their allocation of just under 3,000 ahead of away tickets going on general sale from next Monday.
Tickets are priced at £30 for adults, over-65s £20 and under-18s £17.
It's eight years since Stoke were last at the Riverside for their only Premier League clash there to date.
City, who had Amdy Faye dismissed in the 35th minute, were beaten 2-1 by a Middlesbrough side featuring Robert Huth and 85th minute matchwinner Tuncay.
