‘He Could Be World Class’: Twitter Raves About Arsenal Midfielders Performance vs. Hull City

Arsenal fans are very excited about one of their young prospects after he put in another solid performance on Saturday, helping Arsenal to 3 points and 3rd place in the league table.

Iwobi was particularly impressive on Saturday afternoon. If he didn’t score the first goal then he assisted it, after his shot deflected off of Alexis Sanchez. For Theo Walcott’s goal, Iwobi produced a brilliant moment of skill to provide the assist.
Iwobi may only be 20 years old, but he is becoming an important part of the team – making 81 touches in attacking areas playing on the left wing against Hull City. Iwobi’s creativity is very impressive and with 2 assists and 3 key passes, he was Arsenal’s most creative on Saturday.
Iwobi was accurate with more than 89% of his passes, that’s a really impressive amount for a player that makes so many forward passes and in dangerous areas. He attempted 3 long balls and was accurate with all 3 and also 1 through ball which was successful.
Iwobi ensured Arsenal didn’t succumb to the home side’s attacking qualities by putting in a defensive shift himself. The Nigerian made 2 interceptions and 2 tackles, whilst also blocking a shot.

Do you agree? Can Iwobi become a world class player for club and country? He is certainly showing great potential aged just 20, but we have seen on many occassions players offer a lot and it never really work out. Iwobi must ensure he focuses on football and not the media or money. He is a homegrown Gunner, that has been at the club since before he was a teenager. It would be good to see an Arsenal player come right the way through the ranks and flourish. Jack Wilshere looked likely to be that man, but his loan to Bournemouth aged 24 highlights how injuries have damaged that potential. Iwobi, it’s down to you.
