Malik Obama, half-brother to President Barack Obama, says he plans to vote for Donald Trump in November and thinks Hillary Clinton should be held accountable for her the e-mail shenanigans she perpetrated as Secretary of State.
The president’s 58-year-old half-brother, who currently resides in Kenya, says he plans to travel back to Maryland, where he’s reportedly registered to vote, to cast a ballot in favor of the GOP nominee, the New York Post reports.
Despite being a longtime Democratic voter, Malik Obama says he feels
like he has been burned by the party — particularly after FBI Director
James Comey said Clinton shouldn’t be prosecuted for repeatedly mishandling classified information on a private, unsecured, unsanctioned e-mail system while serving as Secretary of State.
“She should have known better as the custodian of classified information,” Malik Obama told the New York Post.
Malik Obama says he’s miffed at his half-brother’s administration for
killing Libyan Prime Minister Muammar Gaddafi, whom Malik Obama
considered to be a close friend.
“I still feel that getting rid of Khadafy didn’t make things any
better in Libya,” he said. “My brother and the secretary of state
disappointed me in that regard.”
But bad foreign policy choices are the only reasons Malik Obama is
disappointed with the choices made by his brother’s White House team.
Malik Obama also said he was drawn to the Republican Party’s opposition
to gay marriage.
“I feel like a Republican now because they don’t stand for same-sex marriage, and that appeals to me,” he said.
