Some felt Victor Valdes is a nailed on starter given his pedigree but others believe it isn't as clear cut as that.
Valdes played the full 90 minutes at Aston Villa on Saturday but Dimi Konstantopoulos and Tomas Mejias have both been given a chance to impress in pre-season.
