Ghana winger Albert Adomah has warned Middlesbrough have enough firepower to cause problems as they stage a return to English top-flight this season.
Boro have impressed in pre-season with Aitor Karanka's men showing proficiency upfront.
The side's second half demolition of Aston over the weekend has heightened their potential threat ahead of the new season.
And Ghana winger Albert Adomah believes Boro has enough quality and pace to be the new kings in England.
“I don’t know how teams will play against us in the Premier League because I haven’t played at that level before but the way we played at Villa showed that we can play on the counter attack and obviously play behind the ball,” he said.
“It worked for us at Aston Villa because they came out of the blocks playing well and then eventually tired out.
“But we showed that we have that weapon in our locker so if we can use it it can benefit us.”
The 28-year-old is delighted with the performance of some of the side's top stars.
“When you have players like Viktor, Jordan, Alvaro, Nuge and others you can always cause teams problems,” added Adomah.
“When they’re scoring goals it’s a big help because obviously if you score goals you win games and they’re doing that at the minute.
“Hopefully they’ll continue to do that for us in the Premier League this season."
