Newcastle United has a good set of players that can impress us during pre-season. But there are other players who are in the hot seat and must impress or fans will continue to turn on them.
It’s been a busy past couple of weeks for Newcastle United. Just to think of it, it wasn’t that long ago when Rafa Benitez decided that he’d stay with Newcastle United and help them fight for promotion back to the Premier League.
Within that time it’s been fast work by Benitez bringing in five new players, revamping the academy, and changing the very fabric of Newcastle’s squad. He’s not done yet, and the work shows. He’s fighting for Grant Hanley of Blackburn, and he has many more players in mind that we have not yet heard of.
Benitez is doing his fair share of work, but now it’s up to the players to prove that they are worthy of being a part of what could become a legendary squad. Drumroll, please.
